HOLISTIC PRACTICE

PHILOSOPHY

"When you touch one thing with deep awareness,
you touch everything.
"

 Lao Tzu

"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn."

 Benjamin Franklin

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

 Chinese Proverb

I am passionate about helping individuals become healthier and more aware of their body’s through a holistic approach. The mind and body are in a dynamic relationship that cannot be separated. The mind affects the body and the body affects the mind. Your beliefs, emotional states and past experiences can affect the way you move and what you feel, both emotionally and physically. This understanding can help with identifying the source of pain/discomfort and antagonizing factors, allowing for more effective and efficient treatments targeted at improving one’s overall wellbeing.

At my practice, I believe in empowering individuals through knowledge by providing the tools necessary to lead a healthy and pain free life. Our bodies are incredibly adaptable and capable of far more than most realize. That’s why I take the time to teach each patient about anatomy, physiology and the healing process. To maximize the results of each exercise I break down each step, explain the biomechanics of the movement and demonstrate how to perform them correctly.  By discussing the reasoning and intent of the exercises and manual therapy, people become involved in their own healing and there’s a clear understating of how their individualized plan of care is leading them to their goals.

I genuinely care about each of my patients, and I’m here to help each person reach their desired outcome and achieve optimum health in a positive environment. I want more for my patients than just to be pain free and functional, I want my patients to thrive!

"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor and some style."
